A journey of faith…

The Ewens at MOD 2005Continuing the tradition Shane I started in 2005, I will once again be participating in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica event on April 26 in memory of my son, David Caleb, who was born fifteen weeks premature and lived 15 glorious days. I am also participating in honor of my daughter, Elizabeth Grace and my husband, David Shane, now also both deceased.

To donate, please visit CalebWalk. By clicking on on the hyperlinked text, you will be directed to my personal fundraising site.

Last year, with your help and your financial support, we raised $2,212 to help fund medical research and educate parents about prematurity and prevention. My lingering physical injuries did indeed make this trek through Denver a real challenge but with determination and drive, I did it!

If you supported me in any way, you were a part of that inner strength that I drew from during the walk. I believe that together, we honored the memories of Caleb, Ellie, and Shane in a very meaningful way. For more on the 2007 WalkAmerica event, please read the entry dated May 6, 2007 entitled “…and they danced.”

Thank you for helping me reach this goal. I continue to believe in the WalkAmerica cause and I ask you to continue to join me in supporting March of Dimes research and help to save the life of a little one. Let’s do it again this year! Together, we can make a difference!
